On January 5, 2004, I entered the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA, for a routine appendectomy. I awoke the next day and was told I had adenocarcinoma of the appendix. Through the love, support, and prayers of my friends and family, I've managed to survive 4 major surgeries, around 22 months (and counting) of chemotherapy, and a loss in the Super Bowl by my beloved Chicago Bears. Here I'll post the occasional update on my cancer, as well as anything else I find interesting or amusing.
