All of us experience adversity and pain. When we lose something - or someone - we grieve our losses. during times of heartache, we can turn to God for solice. When we do , He comforts us and, in time, He heals us.

And Dennis' password for some things: Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquites; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Amazing, huh.
God still has some work to do with me.. I'm not angry with God - just confused as to why Dennis had to have this horrible disease take him from us.

Through the love, support, and prayers of my friends and family, I've managed to survive 4 major surgeries, around 22 months (and counting) of chemotherapy, and a loss in the Super Bowl by my beloved Chicago Bears. Here I'll post the occasional update on my cancer, as well as anything else I find interesting or amusing.

Just wanted to let you know that I think about you (Dennis' family) and Dennis every day. Please know that his kindness and good heart still influence many, many people. Again, I am so sorry for your loss.

It's been awhile since I've posted anything here, but I was just struck listening to random music on my laptop at work so I thought I'd share.
I used to like this song and I still do. But ever since Dennis moved on, every time I hear it I think of him so strongly and it gets a little hard to see through the blur of tears.
