- On January 5, 2004, I entered the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA, for a routine appendectomy. I awoke the next day and was told I had adenocarcinoma of the appendix. Through the love, support, and prayers of my friends and family, I've managed to survive 4 major surgeries, around 22 months (and counting) of chemotherapy, and a loss in the Super Bowl by my beloved Chicago Bears. Here I'll post the occasional update on my cancer, as well as anything else I find interesting or amusing.

Manning, Garnett and Pujols are featured on individual box covers. Brown Sugar and Maple Cereal. If you have time, practice cooking it so that it will taste perfect on the actual day.
